Day 1 photos

Here are some selected snaps from Day 1. These are just a few (in my camera... there's two more cameras!), so it might take me a few days to get 'em all.

The Big Day: Day 1

Here's a report of the first day:

I arrived earlier to decorate the church and placeset the service books. The books were custom-made (red cover, the pages tied together with a sparkly silver ribbon) and sunflowers were tied to the pews with luxurious orange and white ribbons.

Guests arrived at St Thomas' Cathedral by 9.00 a.m, including all family members from both sides. The bride entered the church at 9:10 a.m., accompanied by my father, three bridesmaids, a ring bearer, and the priest.

The bride wore an elegant white satin dress, with sparkly bead details on the dress, along with a tiara, a veil, and white heels. Her bouquet is made of fresh white roses. The groom wore a sharp, well-fitted black suit, with a black tie and shoes.

The service went on for 30 minutes, and then, the bride and groom exited the church for the photo taking session (that is a whole lot different story... cameras flashing left and right!). Then, it's off to the tea ceremony at the groom's house, followed by the bride's house.

Lunch was served, and then we all took a break and relax... for tonight, we had a barbeque party at our house.

And that was Day 1. Much more excitement than I can portray here. Sorry, it's already late, and we're all exhausted for the day. See ya tomorrow for the wedding reception (yes, it's a 2-Day event)

The Big Day: Pre-event

Yes, the event's today!!!

Everyone's up and awake really early, even me! It's 6:28 a.m. Malaysian time, and the bride is getting her makeup done.

I, on the other hand, is still in my PJs.. Ha! But it's not about me today, is it?...

The bride will leave the house by 8.00 am. I'll be there early to put up the deco and setting up the home video cam (we got 2 other professional video cam people.. and 2 photographers).

I'll keep updating as the day goes by... providing I have some free time ;)

Final preparation!

OMG!! Sorry for the non-existing updates for the last month or so... busy, busy... alright, so this blog has lotsa catching up to do...

First, the wedding album is here!!! Whee!! It's pretty, with stunning shots (sorry, no preview available...). I comes in a pretty faux Louis Vuitton carrying case in red leather...

The bride went for her wedding dress fitting 2 weeks ago... no, I didn't go, so no previews...

Also, her bridesmaid, my cousin, went dress-hunting and got a pretty outfit. The other bridemaids also found their dresses... and changed the colour theme of the wedding from purple-white to red...

Flower arrangements are almost done, car deco is in a few days time...

The soundtrack, I'm compiling it... has a mix of everything ;)

Hotel arrangements were just settled this morning, and so is the church... it's already 'Third time of asking'!!

Invites are all sent out, table arrangements are complete, service books printed...

Well, that's about it. 5 Days to go!! :D

Photoshoot day!

So, the photoshoot day is scheduled for Friday, 4th June.

My sister's worried about her not looking good in the photos, and of course, she spills it all on me. Guess wthat's what brothers do, eh... I don't mind, really.

Hopefully I can get some outtakes :D

It was like being in a walk-in closet!

So, today, my sister went for an appointment with the bridal palace to choose her outfits for her wedding album photoshoot.

My mum, my aunt, my cousin, and I tagged along with my sister and her fiancee to France Taipei Bridal Palace for the fitting. It was, literally, like a walk-in closet, complete with a mini-runway! So cool!

There were many dresses and gowns to choose from.. and this is just for the photoshoot! OMG!

Well, here they are; the photos I promised :D

Your pick?
